Worrying can take a massive toll on not only your mental health but also your physical health. It can take away all your emotional energy, making you feel restless and would not let you concentrate either (I've been there!). Worry is indeed a misuse of your imagination. It's a sheer waste of time. Stop worrying about the future. You're just taking double the stress, and not getting anything productive out of it. Worry is like a rocking chair - it gives you something to do but gets you nowhere. I agree, it is beyond our control to actually worry. In fact, it's quite normal. But just because it's normal doesn't mean that we should be normalizing it in our lives. This "normal worry" can get uncontrollable if it becomes persistent, and we don't want that, right?
